Counter associates are responsible for providing excellent customer service by quickly and accurately responding to their questions and/or concerns. A counter associate avoids distractions and keeps an eye on the counter at all times. When a customer is approaching they must acknowledge and help them ASAP. Holiday Market is seeking an experienced baker with at least one year of previous experience in a bakery environment. You will be responsible for proofing and baking danishes, pastries, and other baked goods, as well as preparing orders. It is the baker’s responsibility to ensure the quality of the goods being used are up to Holiday Market’s standards and to make notes when supplies are running low. It is a full time position and you must be able to work one weekend day and some holidays. Holiday market offers a full range of benefits to employees working more than 30 hours per week, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.

Baker Responsibilities

  • Mixing, preparing, and baking pastries
  • Making sure orders are prepared correctly and efficiently
  • Making sure all baked goods needed for orders are on hand at all times
  • Recommend new recipes to renew our menu and attract more customers (e.g. gluten free and current trends)
  • Producing our vegan dessert line
  • Tracking food supply inventory and informing management when an order needs to be placed

Cake Decorator

A portfolio of decorated cakes is recommended to apply for a designer position along with a bench test.
